How to Install Company Directory Pro for WordPress

Overview

Please note: in order to use Company Directory Pro, you’ll first need to install the free version of Company Directory from the WordPress Plugin Directory. Company Directory Pro will automatically integrate itself with the free plugin.

Step 1: Download the Company Directory Pro plugin

After purchasing, download Company Directory Pro from the Gold Plugins Members portal. You will be able to download the plugin as a zip file from the portal page.

Step 2: Upload the zip file to WordPress, or unzip it and upload it using FTP

You can install Company Directory Pro using the Plugins » Add New menu in WordPress. Just upload the zip containing the plugin, and follow the on-screen instructions to activate it.

Please note, the ability to directly upload plugins depends on your server’s configuration, and may not be supported on your website. If it is not, please follow the FTP instructions below.

You can also unzip the file, and use an FTP client to upload the contents of the /company-directory-pro/ folder to your website’s /wp-content/plugins/ directory.

Once you’ve uploaded the plugin, be sure to visit the Plugins page in WordPress to activate Company Directory Pro.

Step 3: Activate Company Directory Pro with your API Key

Once you’ve activated the plugin, you’ll be taken to the License Information screen in Company Directory Settings.

On this page, you’ll see a form for you to enter your API Key to Activate the Pro plugin. Activating your plugin is required to receive automatic updates or to receive technical support.

You API key should have arrived in your email when you purchased Company Directory Pro, as well as being available on your purchase receipt. You can always retrieve your API key from the Members portal.

Step 4: Add your Staff Members and Setup a Staff Members Page!

Great work! You’ve finished installing Company Directory Pro!
